Sending a Voice Broadcast in PastorsLine is very straightforward.
NOTE: Voice Broadcasts are for groups. If you choose a single person or a single number, PastorsLine will assume that you wish to make a call.
HOW TO FIND THE NEW VOICE BROADCAST POP UP BOX
While logged in to PastorsLine,
Step 1
Click on Create New (top item in left-hand most column). The Create New box will open.
Step 2
By default, you will be in the All tab. Click on Make a Call / Broadcast.
Now you are ready to create and send your voice broadcast.
The video below shows another way to get to a new voice broadcast. However, once you are there, the create process is the same.
OTHER WAYS TO START A NEW VOICE BROADCAST
Option 4: From Groups the desktop app (recommended if you are not sure of the name of the group to whom you wish to send a voice broadcast)
OPTION 1: From Messages via the desktop app
Step 1
Click on Messages (speech bubble icon, gold circle in image below).
Step 2
Choose your message category and click on the group to whom you want to send a message. We chose Youth NOW (turquoise box in image above.
Step 3
Click on Voice Broadcast (phone with sound waves, turquoise box in image below.
The New Voice Broadcast box will pop up:
Now you are ready to create and send your voice broadcast.
OPTION 2: From Voice view (New call or broadcast icon) via the desktop app
Step 1
Click on the phone receiver [telephone icon] to begin.
The New Call or Broadcast box would pop up.
Step 2
On the relevant line, type part of group name for whom you wish to send a voice message (turquoise arrow in image below).
PastorsLine will return all the possibilities (brown arrow in image above).
Step 3
From the results, choose the group for whom you wish to send a voice message. We chose Group 1 (gold arrow in image above).
REMEMBER: Choosing a person or individual number will generate voice call and not voice broadcast logic.
The New Voice Broadcast box will pop up:
Now you are ready to create and send your voice broadcast.
OPTION 3: From Voice (text in column 3) via the desktop app
Step 1
Click on Voice [telephone icon, gold circle in image below].
Step 2
Click on New Voice Message [dark blue circle in image above.
Brown Xs: It does not matter what displays here because we are not using these columns at the moment.
The New Call or Broadcast box would pop up.
Step 3
On the relevant line, type part of group name for whom you wish to send a voice message (turquoise arrow in image below).
PastorsLine will return all the possibilities (brown arrow in image above).
Step 4
From the results, choose the group for whom you wish to send a voice message. We chose Group 1 (gold arrow in image above).

OPTION 4: From Groups via the desktop app
Step 1
Click on Groups [people icon, gold circle in image below].
Step 2
Click on the group category you wish (turquoise arrow in image above).
We have chosen the Integrations category (gold box in image below).
Step 3
Note that the Integrations category opened to reveal sub-categories (gold arrow in image below). We chose our Elvanto integration groups (tuquoise box in image below.
Step 4
Click on the group for whom you wish to send a voice broadcast (brown arrow in image above).
We chose Group 1 which has 3 members.
Step 5
Click on Voice Call [telephone icon, brown circle in image below].
REMINDER: Even though it says "voice call", it will be a voice broadcast to all the members of the group
The New Voice Broadcast box will pop up:
Now you are ready to create and send your voice broadcast.
OPTION 5: From your mobile phone (using our mobile app)

To send a voice broadcast to a group
Find your group by clicking on Groups (people icon, brown circle below).
Alternatively, you can search for your groups by clicking on Search (magnifying glass icon, gold circle above). Then, type in the name of the group you are looking for.
The screen will refresh. You will see the name of your selected group. In the top, right-hand corner, you will see a blue telephone icon. Click on that icon. The following screen should open.
The options above are the same as in our desktop app with the exception of Web record: On the mobile app, this option uses your phone speakers.
Now you are ready to create and send your voice broadcast.
