Why are credits eligible for redemption? How do you redeem them if you want to?

The Backstory

As part of our 2023 PastorsLine Plan Restructuring, credits got divided into two categories:

Non-rollover (NRO) credits and Forever Rollover (FRO) credits.

BRIEFLY...

Non-rollover (NRO) credits (or standard credits) expire at the end of each billing cycle. This is the default for all plans. Unused monthly NRO credits will expire monthly. Unused yearly NRO credits will expire yearly.

Forever Rollover (FRO) credits never expire. All one-time purchased credits are FRO and thus, will never expire. All plans can purchase an ROP subscription which guarantees your credits will never expire. Rollover credits have a big advantage: even if your account expires, your rollover (FRO) credits remain. They are removed only when an account is marked as spam. So if you changed your mind, they would be waiting for you when you returned to PastorsLine.

Redeemable credits are NRO credits which are set to expire at your next billing cycle.

THE FIRST TIME YOU ARE MERGED INTO THE NEW BILLING CYCLE

If you downgrade before your plan renews, legacy credits are lost 100% and cannot be redeemed. This was the same policy we had before the billing changes.

If you do not downgrade, you will be able to redeem your accumulated NRO credits at a 75% discount of their value as per your plan. The redeemed credits will convert to FRO credits, and be added to your Forever Rollover (FRO) Savings Account where they will never expire and will be used last.

You can redeem all, part, or none of your accumulated credits. You will have a 30-day grace period to take action if you desire. Please remember, you can only choose one (1) of the options. In other words, after you have redeemed part of your credits, you cannot redeem the rest at a later time within that grace period. This is a one time transaction that can be only be done each month, after your unused credits "expire" within the 30-day grace period.

EVERY OTHER BILLING CYCLE

You will be able to redeem all or part of your NRO credits. The redemption cost per credit is 50% off the FRO credit price for your plan.

Let's break it down:

Step 1: We use the FRO plan price (the plan price including rollover protection).

Step 2: We divide the FRO plan price by the number of credits per billing cycle.

Step 3: This gives us the cost per credit based on the FRO plan price.

Step 4: The redemption credit price is 50% of the price in Step 3.

Step 5: We multiply this price by the number of credits you wish to redeem.

Click on either image below to get to our Redemption Cost spreadsheet.

Use the spreadsheet to see this calculation in action.

The redeemed credits will convert to FRO credits, and be added to your Forever Rollover (FRO) Savings Account where they will never expire and will be used last.

How do I protect my NRO credits from expiring?
