Toggle on the Add Keyword(s) button.

The button will turn purple (see below). You will notice that an additional toggle button has appeared with a choice. The choice is: send messages to this group via your (or one of your) 10-digit, local PastorsLine number(s) OR send via our shared short code.

Option I: Sending via a local number

Step 1: Make sure Local Numbers is purple. Toggle on the Turn on the keyword option for this tab button (will turn purple). The following form will open up.

Step 2: Choose the number you wish to send from.

Step 3: Type in the keywords you wish to use.

Step 4: If you want to define the auto-reply message settings, click on the down arrow (green box above). The following form will open.

Toggle on the options you wish. Here is how the form looks when it is fully open.

Step 5: Set your first message for new users in this group (left-hand side) and "repeaters" (right-hand side). [For more information about new user vs "repeater", please click here.]

Use a template or compose a message. Our message might be, ‘Welcome to our church. We are glad you visited with us today.’

*For those returning subscribers ("repeaters"), type a different, more personal message. Perhaps ‘Welcome back. You are already connected to the group.’

Step 6: Ignore Set Signature (red boxes above) as it is only used when sending via the short code and you are setting up to use a long code (10-digit, local PastorsLine number).

Option II: Sending via the shared short code

Step 1: Make sure Short code (77411) is purple. Toggle on the Turn on the keyword option for this tab button (will turn purple). The following form will open up.

Step 2: Type in the short code keyword(s) which you have purchased from PastorsLine. [For more information about free vs short code keywords, please click here.]

Step 3: Set your first message for new users in this group (left-hand side) and "repeaters" (right-hand side).

Step 4: Until people get used to the short code, they may not realize that this message is from you. So, in this step, you set up a signature so that they know that the message is genuinely from you. Click on Set Signature (red boxes above). The following form will open.

Complete the form and click CONFIRM to save your choices or NEVERMIND to cancel them.
