The PastorsLine Campaigns module allows you to develop different workflows in order to collect and automate your processes. Campaigns offers you five options: Automated messages, Birthday SMS wishes, Contest polls, Data capture, and SMS polls.

This article deals with the Campaigns page. If you are already on the Campaigns Page and are familiar with things, you can jump to the How To.

Types of Campaigns

This section introduces each type of campaign. It also gives you a link to the 'create new' article for that campaign type.

Automated messages

Prepare messages in advance and schedule them to go out as and when needed. This option suits one-off messages (reminders about annual events) or a series of messages (21-day prayer texts). There are 3 ways to get your members opted in: via a keyword; by manually entering their information to trigger the automation; and via an integration (such as CCB and PCO) to automatically trigger when new members are synced over. To create a new automated messages campaign, click here.

Birthday SMS wishes

Use the data collected during subscriber opt in to remember your church members on their special days. Our PastorsLine system will automatically send each person a customized message. You can turn off this feature for individual subscribers or groups if desired. To create a new birthday SMS campaign, click here.

Contest polls

Everyone loves to win … and it’s not really the prize that matters. It’s the special feeling of winning! So, contests are way to engage with your congregation and encourage them to respond … even when you don’t really have anything to say. To create a new contest, click here.

Data capture

Capturing personal data in a polite yet effective way and replying with significant information keeps the conversation going to build good relationships. For example, when sending text messages to groups of people, each email begins with the person’s first name, giving it that personalized touch. To create a new data capture, click here.

SMS Polls

Use this option to find out what’s in the minds and hearts of your membership and first-time guests. Each question can have up to four answers (think multiple choice questions: a,b,c,d). To create a new poll, click here.

Two great things about all these Campaigns are that they are easy to set up and reusable. Our Campaigns function offers powerful tools to capture important data, engage your audience and help build those strong relationships.

WHICH CAMPAIGN SHOULD I USE?

Let's pretend "Bob" is your new guest / church member / recipient that is texting into your number.

Do you want Bob to text a keyword to your number and get ONE simple response back? No name, email, or DOB capture. Just ONE automated response.
If yes, then you would need to create a Simple group with a keyword trigger.

Do you want Bob to text a keyword to your number and do you want to capture their name, email address and/or DOB?
If yes, then you need to create a Data Capture.

Do you want Bob to receive a series of pre-determined, scheduled messages?
If yes, then you would need to use a Automated Message campaign.

Do you want Bob to text a keyword to your number and receive a series of pre-determined, scheduled messages?
If yes, then you need to use a Automated Message Campaign using the KEYWORD trigger option.

Do you want to manually (or by using over night syncing) add Bob to a group and receive a series of pre-determined, scheduled messages?
If yes, then you need to use a Automated Message Campaign using the GROUP trigger option.

Do you want to capture Bob's name, email and/or DOB and THEN receive a series of pre-determined, scheduled messages? if yes, you need to create a Data Capture LINKED to a Automated Message Campaign (AMC). You can either set up the trigger to be the DATA CAPTURE of your choice in the AMC OR you can select the AMC you wish to use while editing the Data capture.

In either case, the following page will open:

How to work with this page

IMPORTANT NOTE

Let's say you start to create a new campaign. Then, for some reason, you change you mind and want to return to the main Campaigns page. Clicking Campaigns in the second black column (see gold arrow in image below) is not going to do anything. This is because the Campaigns page is an embedded page brought over from the PastorsLine Legacy app.

To return to the main Campaigns page, you have three options.

Option 1: Click on the purple Back arrow (turquoise arrow in image below).

Option 2: Click on Reload (brown arrow in image above).

Option 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Cancel.
