What happens when I send a regular SMS text message and the message is marked undelivered (due to specific error message codes we track)?

  1. If SMS message is sent via LONG code (your 10-digit local, number) and is marked as undelivered, we will auto-re-process your message using either the SHORT code (or toll free depending on what you have selected in the Organization Settings page)
  2. If SMS message is sent via SHORT code and is undelivered, we will auto-reprocess your message using your long code.

What happens when I send a SMS text message that contains a LINK and the message is marked undelivered (due to specific error message codes we track)?

  1. If SMS with URL message is sent via LONG code (your 10-digit local, number) and is undelivered, we autoreprocess using short code (or toll free depending on what you have selected in the Organization Settings page)
  2. If SMS with URL message is sent via short code and is undelivered, we autoreprocess using your LONG code number.

What happens when I send a MMS message (text + image) and the message is marked undelivered (due to specific error message codes we track)?

  1. If MMS message is sent via LONG code (your 10-digit local, number) and is undelivered, we first check internally to see if their carrier accepts MMS from short code. If it does, we resend your message using the short code. If it does not, we will auto-reprocess your message using the short code but will convert the image into a URL instead of attachment.
  2. If MMS message is sent via SHORT code (OR toll free), we first check to make sure carrier receives MMS from short code and handle accordingly (If it does, we resend your message using the short code. If it does not, we will auto-reprocess your message using the short code but will convert the image into a URL instead of attachment.t). If it is still undelivered after all of that, we auto-reprocess your message again using your LONG code.
