V3: How to change an email address

Where is your email address? How can you change it? What about changing another person's email address? Check out this article.

THIS ARTICLE IS NOT ABOUT CHANGING THE TREASURER'S EMAIL / THE EMAIL FOR BILLING PURPOSES.


An email is required to complete your registration on PastorsLine (brown box in image below).

This email becomes the default email for several functions on the platform. Before learning how to change your email address, you must first know how to view or find it.

Once you know where it is, here are ways to change it.


HOW TO VIEW YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

The email you used during PastorsLine registration is on your My Profile page. There are two ways to get to this page. Note that Option 1 has fewer steps.

Step 1

From the PastorsLine dashboard, click on your thumbnail at the lower-left corner of your screen (brown circle in image below). Select User Settings (gold box in image below).

Step 1

From the PastorsLine dashboard, click on the three-dot icon (gold circle in image below) and click Settings (brown box in image below).

Step 2

Click on User Settings (gold box in image below).

Next step for everyone

From the drop-down menu that appears, select My Profile (gold box in image below).

Your profile information would be displayed on the right. . You can view the email registered with your account (light blue box in image below).


CHANGING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

You might need to change your email in V3 for various reasons.

CHANGING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON YOUR USER PROFILE

We are assuming you are here:

Step 1

Hover around the email under My Info to reveal an Edit (brown circle in image below). Click on it.

Step 2

Enter the desired email address and then click on Save (purple circle in image below).

Step 3

The email is now saved on your profile. However, it needs to be verified. Note the hourglass icon (brown box in image below). If you click on this icon, a message will display. It says: "You have updated your email to [new email] and we are waiting for verification. Please check your email to verify this email address is to be updated." (brown arrow in image below)

Check your email to verify the update.

Did not receive an email? Click on Resend (gold box in image above). Want to cancel this update? Click on Cancel (gold box in image above).
