As shown in the image below, there are two messages. Yet, the background colors are different. Let's talk about why...

YELLOW BACKGROUND = INTERNAL NOTIFICATION

Look at the gold 1 in the image above. You can see the bell icon. If you hover over this icon, the word "Notification" will appear.

Note also the yellow background of the message. Both of these items show you that this message is an internal, text notification.

Why do I get these notifications?

You get them because you have SMS notifications turned on.

What do I need to do with these notifications?

Someone needs to follow up and take the appropriate action. The action needed will depend on the situation and what the message says .

Anything else?

Yes. If you click on this notification, you will get additional information.

Note that now you can see the from and to phone numbers. The "from" number is the person who sent this internal text message. The "to" number is the person who received this notification because they have these SMS notifications turned on. Hovering over the icon after the "to" phone shows you that in this case, the number belongs to an admin.

You also get more details about the dat and time this notification was sent.

BLUE BACKGROUND = TEXT MESSAGE

Look at the turquoise 2 in the image above. You can see initials. If you hover over these initials, you can see the name of the person who sent the text message

Note also the blue background of the message. Both of these items show you that this message is a text message.

Anything else?

Yes. If you click on this notification, you will get additional information.

Note that now you can see the name and phone number of the person who sent the message. Hovering over the icon after this phone shows you that in this case, the number belongs to an admin.

You also get more details about the date and time this message was sent.
