HOW TO GET TO THE PEOPLE VIEW

From the PastorsLine dashboard, click on People (person icon, gold box below).

LOOKING AT THE COLUMNS

Column 1 is basically the dashboard icons.

COLUMNS 2&3

Columns 2 & 3 show you more detail about the view you chose -- in this case, People.

In Column 2 are the categories available within the People view. As you can see, we selected All People (highlighted in Column 2 in image above) which is the main category, i.e., all the sub-categories put together. At the moment, there are 18,821 people (contacts) in this PastorsLine account.

Potentially, if we do not do anything else to the numbers like filter them, we would have 18,821 names to scroll through in Column 3.

MORE ABOUT THE CATEGORY NUMBERS

Sometimes the numbers clearly add up. For example: Opt-In Status (see image below).

There are 610 opt-ins which can be explained by 608 via Mailchimp, 1 via Voice, and another via Text. In this case, the main category is the total of the sub-categories.

However, what about Multi-App Profiles (see image below)?

The MultiApp Profiles total is 3K+. Yet, summing the individual sub-categories comes to 8K+ (3K+ + 2K+ + 2 + 2K+). Also, summing up the CCB, Mailchimp, and PCO totals does not come to the 3K+ total of the All category. So, what's happening?

Let's look at the example in the image below:

There are 3 phone numbers:

(567-111) is connected to PastorsLine, CCB, and PCO. So, it is a multi-profile account.

(567-222) is only connected to PastorsLine. So, it is NOT a multi-profile account.

(567-333) is connected to both PastorsLine and CCB. So, it is a multi-profile account.

Thus, there are two (2) phone numbers which suit the All category, two (2) which suit the CCB category, and only 1 which suits the PCO category.

In this case, the numbers don't "add up" because the All is not the sum of the sub-categories. Rather, it is a category unto itself.

See a number. Not sure how it is calculated and want to know?

USING COLUMN 2

THAT BLUE ARROW IN THE IMAGE ABOVE

Notice that the blue arrow in the image above is pointing to the Contact Status downward arrow. This means that there are more sub-categories within this sub-category. If we click on the downward arrow, we arrive at several sub-categories which can be opened further (see image below).

We can click on the Address downward arrow to open it further (see image below).

Since there are no more downward arrows, we see that we have reached the end of the sub-division.
