Syncing PCO through manual or overnight options

Just before we begin...

Are you looking to sync so you can send a message?


We recommend our Browser Extension - designed to allow you to send group texts from within Planning Center. You create the message -- We do all the necessary syncing in the background.

BEST WAY TO SYNC MULTIPLE LISTS AT A TIME: Sync new or existing via the Integrations page

UPDATE OR RE-SYNC AN EXISTING LIST: Create new


SYNC A NEW LIST: Unsynced lists in external apps

You may have some groups that are in the external app(s) that you have integrated but have not yet been synced to PastorsLine. To sync them:

1. Click on Groups

2. Click on All Groups

The All Groups page will open.

3. Click on the Groups in External Apps tab (blue box in image above).

4. Click on Sync Now to sync your external groups (yellow arrow in image above).
​5. The following form will pop up. Complete it and click SAVE to confirm your action.


BEST WAY TO SYNC MULTIPLE GROUPS AT A TIME: Sync new or existing via the Integrations page

This is best way to sync multiple groups at a time.


​Step 1: Log into PastorsLine.

Step 2: Get to your Integrations page.

Hover over Integrations (left-hand most column).

Click on Manage My Integrations.

Step 3: The Integrations page will open up, showing all your current integrations.

Integrations are now separated into Active and Inactive. See blue boxes & arrows in the image below.

Since you have already set up Planning Center (PCO) syncing, it will be in the active section.

Step 4: Any data from PastorsLine is automatically pushed into your PCO account. However, we only sync new data from PCO when you tell us to.

SYNCING NEW LISTS OR GROUPS

If you want to sync NEW lists:

  • Select List(s) to Sync (gold arrow in image below)

SYNCING RECENT CHANGES

If you want to sync changes you have made to lists which ALREADY EXIST in PastorsLine, click on RESYNC RECENT CHANGES (turquoise box in image below). This is recommended. However, you can also resync things separately: Resync Workflow, Resync List(s), and Resync Contacts (same box)

If you want PastorsLine to automatically sync overnight, toggle on Overnight Syncing (brown box in image above). The button will turn purple. This will automatically resync your account overnight. (This option is not available for all plans. You can check if it is available for you in your integrations page). If using overnight syncing, be aware of any campaigns you may be using with "send immediately" messages - you wouldn't want messages going out in the middle of the night to your contacts. UPDATE OR RE-SYNC AN EXISTING GROUP: Manually update a specific group

You also have an option to manually update a specific group you are working with.

To get to your PCO groups: Click on Groups (left-hand most column) --> Integrations --> PCO

You will see your sub-categories. Click on the sub-category with which you wish to work.

We chose No List. This opened up the third column containing 1 group.

Click on the group you wish to manually update (see yellow #1 in image to the left).

Click on the Actions menu (see yellow #2 in image to the left).

Click on Sync Now (see yellow #3 in image to the left).

The confirm action box will pop up. Click on the purple Yes, Sync button to continue the process.

Repeat for each group you wish to manually update.
