V3: Troubleshooting: Console error reports

Got an issue? Something not working as it should? It happens. Please help us help you with a console (tech) error report. Here's how.

Having an issue loading or viewing a page?

You can help speed things up by giving us a console (tech) report. Here's how:

Thanks for your assistance! Once you have the screen shot(s) of the console report, send it to us via online chat or email to [email protected] with as many details of the issue as possible.

Step 1: Get into the PastorsLine app.

SHORTCUTS:

Windows: Windows: Ctrl + Shift + J.

Mac: Cmd + Opt + J.

The above opens the Console directly. Then scroll down to Step 5.

If you are not familiar with using the shortcut for your device, continue as below.

Step 2: Right-click your screen. The pop up below will display.

Step 3: From the pop up box menu, choose Inspect (image above).

Step 4: Click on Console (gold box in image below). [[***If you do not see this tab, click on More (double arrows, turquoise box in image below) and choose Console from the dropdown menu.]]

Step 5: Look at the screen. Any items in red are the errors. Any items in yellow are the warnings.

Step 6: Are there arrows which you can click to expand the info? In other words, some info is collapsed and you can 'uncollapse' it? Please click and expand.

Example below: Look at the turquoise box in both images. The top image shows the collapsed view. The bottom one the expanded view.

Step 7: Take a screenshot of everything that is displayed.

If you are not familiar with using the Command option, continue as below.

Step 2: On your top toolbar, click on Safari (just to the right of the Apple icon).

Step 3: Click on Settings.

Step 4: Click on Advanced (gold box in image above).

Step 5: Check the Show Develop menu in menu bar box (turquoise box in image above).

Step 6: Then click on the red circle to close the window (fuchsia arrow in image above).

Step 7: Right click on your screen. The pop up (image below) will display.

Step 8: Click on Inspect Element.

The right-hand side of your screen will now look something like this:

Step 9: Click on Console (gold box in image below). [[***If you do not see this tab, click on More (double arrows, turquoise box in image below) and choose Console from the dropdown menu.]]
