ABOUT NUMBERS

Owners and admins have access to all numbers.

The number is considered "shared" if multiple users are assigned to the same number.

2024.02.09 Accounts owners will need to give admins permission to add a number and/or turn on the short code.

ROLES

Table of contents:

OWNER & ADMIN

Owner

There is one owner for each PastorsLine account. The owner is defined as the first person to sign up for a PastorsLine account. Later, the owner can transfer ownership to another owner, but there will always only be one.

The owner can do EVERYTHING. If there is a feature, they can use it. If there is an ability, they can do it. We will list the major items for clarity.

  • Can add, edit, archive (soft delete), and delete (permanent) all people on the account.

  • Cannot be deleted by another admin or user.

  • Can assign billing privileges to admins and user on the account.

  • Can change billing settings.

  • Can change account level settings.

  • Has full access to all groups and people for both viewing and management.

  • Can create new groups.

  • Can edit, view, archive/delete (if applicable) and resync (if integrated) all groups.

  • Can add people to groups, and remove people from any groups.

  • Has full access to all the credits on the account.

  • Has full access to all integration settings and management.

  • Can work with/edit public templates

  • Can create and send voice broadcasts to any group.

  • Numbers: Are assigned a primary number but can use any and all numbers on the account.

Can switch their "send from" number at any time as a one-time option or make it their default number. In other words, they can effectively use a different "send from" number for each message. Changing their default number does not affect their ability to see all numbers and conversations.

NUMBER NICKNAMES: Can edit the nickname of any number. Note that this edit will apply to the entire account. In other words, for everyone.

  • INBOX: Can see all messages to and from all numbers on the account.

  • Has full access to regular syncing (via a free, beta or premium integration) including groups.

  • Has full access to smart syncing and auto-merge option: will see people with that blue pending icon.

  • Has full access to Campaigns: add, edit, view or delete and clone campaigns.

  • Has full access to Web Widgets and Tags.

Admin

There can be one or more admins on the account. Admins are almost as powerful as owners. Each admin added will have the same complete control.

Admins can do (almost) everything. We will list the major items for clarity.

  • Can add, edit, archive (soft delete), and delete (permanent) users on the account.

  • Cannot delete the owner, but can delete other users and admins

  • Cannot assign billing privileges to admins and user on the account.

  • Cannot change billing settings UNLESS given that privilege by the owner.

NINJA TIP SOLUTION: See all the people in your PastorsLine account

Assign your user(s) the All People group (see image below). That will allow them to see all of the people, their messages, and work with them as per their permissions.

Keep in mind that even though they see ALL the people, Restricted Users (by virtue of their role restrictions) will be able to do less than Regular Users.

SIGNATURES

No matter their role, users can create custom signatures for any number on the account EXCEPT the shared PastorsLine short code and the PastorsLine, high throughput, toll-free (TF) numbers. Owners and admins (by virtue of their permissions) see all numbers. So they can create custom signatures for any number on the account expect the shared PL short code and TF numbers. Regular and Restricted Users (by virtue of their permissions) can create custom signatures on the number(s) they were assigned expect the shared PL short code and TF numbers. Editing custom signatures is done in User Settings - - My Signatures.

HOWEVER, only the Owner and Admin(s) can edit the default signature for a number. In other words, the signature which everyone uses if they do not choose a custom signature for that number. Default signature editing can be done for ANY number of the PastorsLine account INCLUDING the shared PL short code and TF numbers. Editing default signatures is done in Admin Settings - - Signatures.
