Start by logging in to Rock RMS.

STEP 1: Click on Admin Tools: 'suitcase' icon at the bottom of the left-hand most column - (see orange box in image to the left).

STEP 2: Then click on Security.

STEP 3: Click on REST Keys.

STEP 4:

Click on the green + to add a new REST Key.

STEP 5: The REST Key Detail form will appear. Give a meaningful name. Add a description. Then click Generate Key. A long number will appear.

Remember to make a note of your generated key (this long number). You will need it later.

STEP 6: Click Save to confirm your action.

STEP 7: Go the the Search at the top of the page and click on the downward arrow.

STEP 8: Choose Name from the dropdown menu.

STEP 9: Type the name of your REST key in the input line and click Search.

STEP 10:

You will be directed to the profile page of the REST key you searched for. Click on the More downward arrow and choose Security from the dropdown menu.

STEP 11: On the security page, scroll down to the Security Roles section. Click on the + sign (orange box in image below) to add a group.

Your goal is to add the following two groups, so you will need to do these steps twice:

  • RSR- Rock Administration

  • RSR - Staff Workers

Now you are ready to go over to PastorsLine and integrate. Check out Part B in this helpdesk article (you have just done Part A above): http://help.pastorsline.com/en/articles/8786062-v3-getting-started-with-the-rock-rms-integration

REMEMBER: You need your REST key info to complete Part B.

If you do not have it, follow the steps below.

STEP 1: Click on Admin Tools: 'suitcase' icon at the bottom of the left-hand most column - (see orange box in image to the left).

STEP 2: Then click on Security.

STEP 3: Click on REST Keys.

STEP 4: You will see the information for all your saved REST Keys.
Make a note of the info you need (name and key #). You can also click on a detail line to edit the REST Key information or generate a new key.
