In the images below, there is a red dot at the top right of the Messages view and another one at the top right of the Voice view (gold boxes in images below).

These red dots alert you to text and/or voice messages that had issues.

You can click on the sub-categories (Undelivered, Reprocessed, etc.) to get more information.
