Don't shorten links. Shorten links but leave on the www. Shorten and take off the www. Your decision. Here's how.

Shorter links (URLs) can save characters, giving you more message for the same credits. However, it might increase mobile carrier filtering, like some churches in Canada are experiencing. So, it is up to you to decide: shorter links or not?

Here is a summary table of combinations and effects. Below are the walkthroughs.

Remove WWW

Rebrandly integration toggled on

Links will be shortened.

WWW will be KEPT ON.

Links will be shortened.

WWW will be REMOVED.

Rebrandly integration toggled off

This button irrelevant as links will not be touched by PastorsLine.

Begin this process from your Integrations page.

2023 July Update

Your integrations are now separated into Active and Inactive. See blue boxes & arrows in the image below.

If you are already using Rebrandly, it will be in the active section. If not, look for it in the inactive section.

Click on Integrations and then choose Manage My Integrations (blue box in image to the left).

THE REMAINDER OF THE PROCESS

In the image below, In the image below, the toggle button is toggled on (purple). Since the Rebrandly integration is toggled on, your links will be shorted by PastorsLine.

In the image below, the toggle button is toggled off (greyed out).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled off, your links will not be shorted by PastorsLine.

If you do not want PastorsLine to shorten your links

Toggle off the toggle button.

A confirmation will pop up. To continue with the disable, type DISABLE into the text line (blue arrow below). MAKE SURE TO USE CAPITAL LETTERS.

Click Ok (brown arrow above). If all went well, you will received the message below.

Click on OK.

The screen will refresh and your Rebrandly toggle button should be toggled off (greyed out).


If you want PastorsLine to shorten your links BUT leave on the WWW

Step 1: Look at the toggle button to the right of the REBRANDLY title.

In the above image, the button is toggled on (purple color, blue box above).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled on, go to Step 3.

In the below image, the button is toggled off (greyed out, brown box below).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled off, go to Step 2.

Step 2: Toggle on the button.

If all went well, you will received the message below.

Click on OK.

Step 3: Look at the next toggle button in the same section.

In the above image, this button is toggled off (greyed out, gold box above).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled on but the "Remove WWW" button is toggled off, you are finished. Your links will be shortened and the WWW will be kept on the shortened links.

In the below image, this button is toggled on (purple color, brown box below).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled on, go to Step 4.

Step 4: Toggle the button off.

If all went well, you will received the message below. Click on OK.

The screen will refresh.

Note that now the Rebrandly integration is toggled on but the "Remove WWW" is toggled off. Your links will be shortened and the WWW will be kept on the shortened links.


If you want PastorsLine to do it all (shorten your links AND leave on the WWW)

Step 1: Look at the toggle button to the right of the REBRANDLY title.

In the above image, the button is toggled on (purple color, blue box above).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled on, go to Step 3.

In the below image, the button is toggled off (greyed out, brown box below).

If the Rebrandly integration is toggled off, go to Step 2.

Step 2: Toggle on the button.

If all went well, you will received the message below.

Click on OK.

Step 3: Look at the next toggle button in the same section.

In the below image, this button is toggled on (purple color, brown box below).

If both the Rebrandly and "Remove WWW" buttons are toggled on, you are finished. Your links will be shortened and the WWW will be removed.

In the below image, this button is toggled off (greyed out, gold box below).

Step 4: Toggle on the button.

If all went well, you will received the message below.

Click on OK.

The screen will refresh.

If both the Rebrandly and "Remove WWW" buttons are toggled on, you are finished. Your links will be shortened and the WWW will be removed.
