What’s in a name? Well, a lot if you are talking about merge data for personalization.

In PastorsLine, we call them ‘merge fields’. If you want to include your contact’s first name, you would type: [First Name].

In MailChimp, these same data fields are called ‘merge tags’. To include a contact’s first name, you would type: *|FNAME|*

So, even though PastorsLine is syncing with MailChimp and pushing data back to it, you still need to use the correct format for the app you are working within.
