You speak, and we listen! The purpose of this feature is to solve the inconvenience of having duplicate PastorsLine AND ChMs profiles in your PastorsLine "All People" contacts list. This includes profiles that were created in PastorsLine - usually either manually, or through a data capture, before being added to your ChMs. This essentially gets rid of those duplicate PastorsLine profiles, leaving only the matching profiles in your ChMs in your "All People" contacts list. You can also choose to merge any existing PastorsLine profiles into your chosen ChMs to clean up your list as well.

When you set up Auto-merge, you can be sure that once each day, PastorsLine will sync your PastorsLine contacts with the master integration of your choice. While you can manually merge whenever you like, auto-merge ensures that even if you forget on any given day, your contacts will be updated automatically.

SETTING UP THE AUTO-MERGE

Finding the Auto-Merge toggle button

Near the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, click on Integrations.

The page will refresh.

Working with the Auto-Merge toggle button

In the image above, this item is toggled on (purple color). Let's begin at the beginning with it toggled off (greyed out).

Step 1

Toggle the Auto-merge button on. It will turn purple. The following box will pop up:

In image above...

Step 2: Turquoise 1

Click on the downward arrow to choose your master integration.

Step 3: Turquoise 2&3

Turquoise 2

Turquoise 3

Choose one of the options (turquoise 2 or 3). If you hover over the purple question mark (?) at the end of the option name, you will see explanations (as shown in the images in the table above).

The explanation for 2 is: This would only consider PastorsLine contacts that potentially conflict (based on the phone number) with your existing master integration database.

  • In other words, we take your PastorsLine profiles that match with your ChMS profiles and have them go through our smart syncing process. Then, once matched, the ChMS profile replaces the PastorsLine profile in all areas of the app, and you are left with only 1 profile in your contacts list.

The explanation for 3 is: This would auto-merge ALL PastorsLine contacts whether they conflict with your mater integration database or not.

  • In other words, we take ALL of the PastorsLine profiles and have them go through our smart syncing process. Then, once matched, we create new profiles in your ChMS with that information and then that new ChMS profile replaces the PastorsLine profile in all areas of the app, and you are left with only 1 ChMS profile in your contacts list.

Step 4

As shown in the image below, we have chosen CCB as our master integration. We have chosen the second merge option.

Since we have completed the form, we can now click on CONFIRM AND AUTO-MERGE to complete the setup.

A pop-up message confirms success.

MANUAL SYNCING

Click on RERUN and MERGE (brown box in image below).

A pop-up message confirms that it is in process.

EDITING YOUR AUTO-SYNC

Click on EDIT (gold box in image below).

The following pop-up box will appear:

For a reminder of "how to", begin at Step 1 above.
