Do you ever want to send a text to your contacts with mobile phone numbers and a voice broadcast with that same message to your contacts who only have landline numbers?
We make it easy for you to do this!
STEP 1: Use our number lookup feature to look up to flag each contact with their phone number type.
1a. Go to your Contacts List.
1b. Select all your contacts.
1c. Go to Settings (Gear icon in the top, right-hand corner). Click on Check Caller Information (orange box below).
1d. The Caller Information box will pop up.
Click on Check numbers from all pages. The cost will be the amount of numbers you are checking. Click Check and Pay.
After checking, the system will return you to your Contacts List.
STEP 2: Now, you will filter the numbers you want to display.
Previously, all the options said "Hide". For example, "Hide Landline". We have simplified things by changing this to "Show".
Now, you would UNCLICK any options you do not want to see. The options which remain clicked are the filtered numbers which will be seen on your contacts list.
So, for our purposes, UNCLICK all the options, leaving Show Landline clicked (green box below).
The numbers that now show on your contacts list are just the landline numbers. (Make sure you are showing all of the contacts on one page.)
You can now move these contacts into their own group. To do this, click Select All (blue box below).
If you already have a landline numbers group (which you created previously), simply click COPY and choose the group to copy them to.
You can also Export them into a .CSV file.
If you do not have a landline group already created, you can click Send SMS and create a group that way (Don't worry, you will not send everyone an SMS, this is just a "ninja trick" to create a group and add the selected people to it).
Once you click Send SMS, you will be asked to name your group and will then be redirected to the Inbox.
STEP 3: Now you are ready to send your voice broadcast.
Go to your Groups page. You should see the new group you created above. In other words, your landline-only contacts group.
Select it (orange box below). Then click Voice broadcast (orange/yellow arrow below) and proceed as usual.
To Keep the Group Updated
Go to your Contacts List.
To quickly see if any new contacts have been added and whether their phone number type has been checked or not, click the filter Show Unchecked and UNCLICK every other filter.
You will see a list of unchecked contact numbers.
Continue as in Step 1, selecting these new unchecked numbers and then checking their caller information.
Then, continue as in Step 2 above, unchecking every filter except Show Landline, to see which of these new numbers are landlines and need to be copied into your landline-only voice message group.
Choose Select All and copy them to your Landline group.
We plan to add a systems group that will keep this up-to-date for you!
