We already integrate with the AU market. We have had a few church partners who have done it successfully. One main reason they stopped was the price. For example, it costs 6 credits to send 1 SMS (as opposed to 1 credit in the US/CA).

For the US and CA, phone numbers are included in all plans up to 125 credits per month. For AU numbers, you will still get the same 125 credits,  but it will cost 750 credits. The difference (625 credits), is deducted from your main credit pool. This is the same pool that is used to send SMS.

You need to have at least the $50/m plan for it to make sense. This plan:

Comes with 250 credits to cover two numbers or apply towards any other.

750 per AU #. So, balance (750 - 250 = 500 credits)

Total pool for that plan is 2000 credits. 2000 credits - 500 credit balance = 1500 credits for texting.

Each text costs 6 credits so you will be able to send/receive 250 messages (1500/6) per month with 1 AU number.

We’ve checked local vendors. When we ran the math, it works out the same. Our charges are based on a proportional rate to what our vendor charges us. They base their pricing on the cost of doing business in the different areas.

Overall, all our CCB AU clients cancel after some point. If you are only using this for guest follow-up or things like that, it might be worth it.

We are making an assumption that the cost might be prohibitive. No disrespect intended. Just wanted to share the plain facts.
